DaVetta Collins
Biography
DaVetta (Dee) was raised in the city of Chicago and received her elementary and high school education through Chicago Public Schools. For approximately 15 years, she fulfilled the position as the Chief Operating Officer of a licensed Child Welfare Agency, where she provided a wide range of services to emotionally disturbed youth and young adults. She witnessed many outcomes, as they made various strides and transitions that caused them to integrate back into society as productive citizens, as well as reestablish wholesome relationships with their families.
Personally, DaVetta has conquered and overcame tenure of experiencing severe emotional and mental abuse. These devastating times caused her to suffer in various life domains; however, her innate pliability, unyielding heart, and relentless soul has contributed to her many mini triumphs in spite of her major trials. However, her high level of emotional pain and victimization fortifies her ability to remain selfless while endeavoring to make necessary societal changes for the betterment of mankind.
DaVetta has taken her life experiences, education, skills and leadership abilities, and established her own businesses. By profession, DaVetta is an Entrepreneur, Visionary Leader & Pastor, Challenging Speaker, Publisher, Strategic Life Coach and Relationship Expert. Currently, she writes articles for local newspapers that provide men and women with insight on how to break through barriers for great success. In addition, she produces her radio and television talk shows for the empowerment of women and marriages, which can be heard nationwide; Dunamis Woman Empowerment Hour & Let’s Talk About Marriage & Divorce. On a consistent basis, she provides empowerment classes & seminars, as the Founder of Dunamis Woman Life Coaching Institute. In addition, she provides spiritual guidance and psychotherapy to individuals, marriages, and families with spiritual and biblical principles incorporated in the therapeutic processes. Her modus operandi is to challenge the mental states of her targeted populations for the shifting of paradigms in efforts for them to become enlightened to truths, which will cause them to take the necessary journeys to experience wholesome changes in their lives.
DaVetta serves in many capacities with her husband, Byron Collins as the Principal of BDC Capital Enterprises, LLC, which governs for profit businesses in publishing and media; Office & Commercial Real Estate Magazine and Dunamis Woman Magazine. She is the Founder & Director of Dunamis Woman Ministries an affiliate of Dunamis Woman, Inc. As a Visionary Leader, she serves as a Kingdom Teaching Pastor at Change of Life Ministries. DaVetta is a Certified HIV Educator, and holds an Applied Associate Degree in Human Service, Bachelors of Science in Organizational Management, Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. DaVetta is a relational self-motivated and goal-oriented woman that loves people and desires to see them prosper. DaVetta is very compassionate about igniting change in our churches, homes, communities, and society at large so future generations can inherit legacies, especially within African American arenas.
